Love and Wifi in the Palace plot and cast

Based on the webtoon of the same name, Love and Wifi in the Palace is a time-crossing romantic comedy about Tae Pung (Younghoon), a webtoon artist and lifelong single, who unexpectedly connects through his smartphone with So Hyang (Luda), a court lady living 200 years in the past who dreams of becoming a royal concubine. Tae Pung draws on his limited knowledge of romance to coach her on winning the heart of Yi Hwi (Kim Dong Jun), the cold and levelheaded king of Joseon.

Following his advice, So Hyang boldly approaches the king, who gradually finds himself drawn to her unpredictable charm. But as Tae Pung keeps helping her pursue the king, he begins developing feelings for her himself — setting up an unusual love triangle spanning two centuries.

New Love and Wifi in the Palace stills reveal the love triangle

The newly released stills offer a glimpse of the tangled relationships. In one image, So Hyang in traditional hanbok sits face-to-face with Tae Pung in modern casual clothes in a Joseon palace courtyard, their contrasting outfits highlighting the impossible connection between two people from different eras. Another shows Tae Pung’s studio wall covered with pencil sketches of So Hyang, hinting at his growing feelings.

Other images tease the triangle’s other side: King Yi Hwi seated regally in his royal robe, and So Hyang in his arms after an unexpected incident, their eyes meeting in a moment of romantic possibility. Additional stills show So Hyang sipping coffee and wearing wireless earbuds among azalea flowers, and Tae Pung holding a traditional accessory on a modern street.

Love and Wifi in the Palace premieres December 2 — and with two idols trading a 200-year romance, fans are already hooked.
