Is romance finally blossoming between Lee Ga Kyeong and Sato Hideo in “100 Days of Deception”? New stills from the tvN period spy drama show Kim You Jung and Park Jinyoung sneaking off for a late-night drink together — and the outing looks an awful lot like a first date.
Set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, “100 Days of Deception” follows Lee Ga Kyeong, a pickpocket who becomes an undercover spy for the independence movement and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea. Inside, she becomes entangled with interpreter Kim Tae Woong — better known as Sato Hideo — the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea, the second-highest-ranking official in the administration.

100 Days of Deception Episode 7 Stills: A Night Out After Work
The newly released stills capture Lee Ga Kyeong and Sato Hideo spending time alone together after work for the first time. Walking side by side down a night-time street, the pair share a subtle romantic tension that gives the outing the unmistakable feel of a date.
After arriving at a swanky bar, Lee Ga Kyeong takes her first sip of beer with a delighted expression while Sato Hideo watches her in amusement. But the mood soon shifts — as they gaze deeply into each other’s eyes, a palpable tension fills the air. Lee Ga Kyeong’s cheeks flush from the alcohol, while Sato Hideo turns serious, speaking without a smile.
Episode 7 Preview: Sato Hideo Opens Up About His Past
The episode picks up right after a dramatic cliffhanger: at the end of the previous episode, Lee Ga Kyeong and Sato Hideo shared a tearful embrace in the rain after Geum Seok Joong was shot and killed. A worried Sato Hideo escorted her home, and when he asked if she was okay, she broke down sobbing in his arms.
“In Episode 7, which airs today, Sato Hideo will open up to Lee Ga Kyeong about his own story for the first time,” the drama’s production team said, teasing that the two will set aside their lies and suspicions to share their sincere feelings. According to the team, they grow closer by revealing their pasts — which are surprisingly similar despite appearing so different.
The next episode of “100 Days of Deception” airs October 31 at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN.
