Kim You Jung and Park Jinyoung’s characters are about to be given the exact same assignment on “100 Days of Deception” — win each other’s hearts. The twist sets up a battle of wits and feelings in tvN’s period spy romance, where neither lead knows the other has been given the same mission.

Set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, the drama stars Kim You Jung as Lee Ga Kyeong, a pickpocket who becomes an undercover spy for the independence movement and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea. There she crosses paths with interpreter Kim Tae Woong, played by GOT7’s Park Jinyoung, who also goes by the name Sato Hideo and is the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea.
100 Days of Deception Episode 6: A Mission to Win Each Other’s Hearts
In the upcoming episode, Yoo So Ran (Kim Hyun Joo) assigns Lee Ga Kyeong a new mission: winning Sato Hideo’s heart. At the same time, Sato Shinichi (Jin Sun Kyu) instructs Sato Hideo to gain Lee Ga Kyeong’s trust. Both characters are now spying on each other while pretending to fall in love — or perhaps actually falling in love along the way.
The setup follows a tense previous episode in which Lee Ga Kyeong served as an interpreter during the interrogation of the newly captured Geum Seok Joong (Kam Woo Sung). The brutal torture she witnessed, along with chilling threats from Fukuda (Kim Joong Hee), pushed her to decide to quit being a spy altogether.
Despite being warned that traitors would be eliminated, Lee Ga Kyeong packed her things and left the house. The episode ended on a cliffhanger, with Yoo Philip (Lee Moo Saeng) approaching her while hiding a gun behind his back.
Can Sincerity Survive a Web of Lies?
Newly released stills show the pair sharing a tense moment, gazing into each other’s eyes from a close distance — and neither of them looks away. In another set of stills, Lee Ga Kyeong appears startled as Sato Hideo reaches out to grab her.
The drama’s production team teased that Lee Ga Kyeong has reached a critical turning point as a spy, asking viewers to watch what decision she makes and why. They added that audiences should look forward to seeing whether “sincerity” can fix the relationship between two people currently entangled in a web of lies and suspicions about one another.
The next episode of “100 Days of Deception” airs on October 25 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
