Kian84 left Girls’ Generation’s Yuri in utter disbelief on the October 30 broadcast of MBC’s ‘I Live Alone’ — after a series of questionable hygiene moments during his birthday trip to Jeju Island.
The episode followed Kian84 spending his birthday in Jeju with his mother and his “furry siblings.” During a “storm picnic” at a harbor overlooking the sea, he tucked into the birthday lunchbox his mother had prepared — and promptly dropped a side dish container, spilling squid onto the ground.
Kian84’s ‘I Live Alone’ Hygiene Shocks Yuri
Instead of tossing the spilled food, Kian84 nonchalantly picked the squid up and placed it back on his rice. Watching from the studio, Yuri could not hold back: “You’re putting that on? On the rice?” she exclaimed — and when he went ahead and ate it anyway, she gasped, “You’re eating it again?”
But the worst was yet to come. Kian84 then wiped his mouth with the same towel he used to blow his nose. His explanation only made it worse: “It’s a sports towel. I use it to wipe sweat, wash my hair, as a dishcloth, even as a rag.” Yuri’s response said it all: “How are you not sick? How do you not get sick?”
Fans Love Kian84’s Unfiltered Charm — Yuri, Not So Much
Longtime viewers know this is classic Kian84 — the webtoon artist has built his ‘I Live Alone’ persona on being gloriously unbothered by normal human standards. But watching Yuri’s horror in real time was the real entertainment of the episode, and clips of her reactions are already going viral.
The October 30 broadcast proved once again why ‘I Live Alone’ remains one of Korea’s most beloved variety shows: it is equal parts heartwarming and stomach-turning — sometimes within the same picnic.
