The Idoly Pride mobile game is officially shutting down. The franchise’s official X/Twitter account announced on October 31 that the game’s service will end on March 1, bringing its run to a close less than five years after launch — though an offline version is on the way so players can keep their memories.

Idoly Pride Game Ends Service on March 1 After June 2021 Launch
The original Idoly Pride game launched in June 2021 for iOS and Android devices. The announcement confirms the live service will end on March 1, but the game will be updated with an offline version, a goodwill gesture that lets fans continue to enjoy the content they unlocked without a server connection.
Idoly Pride is a full multimedia project backed by major industry names. CyberAgent subsidiary QualiArts, Straight Edge, and Music Ray’n collaborated on the project, with original character designs by QP:flapper (Girlish Number, Girl Friend BETA). Love Live! School idol project producer Kaoru Adachi and scriptwriter Jukki Hanada (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!) were part of the original concept, and Music Ray’n and QualiArts handled the music.
The Idoly Pride Anime, Manga and What’s Next
The Idoly Pride anime premiered on Tokyo MX and other channels in January 2021, ending in March of the same year. It was CAAnimation’s first project — CyberAgent’s anime label founded in October 2018 — and Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan. Hiroki Haruse’s Idoly Pride: Stage of Asterism manga ran in Comic Newtype from June 2020, ending with its third volume in January 2022.
Mobile games ending service is becoming an all-too-common headline in the anime game space, but the promised offline version gives Idoly Pride fans something most shutdowns don’t: a way to keep playing. More details on what the offline version will include are expected closer to the March 1 deadline.
