Virtual idol group PLAVE is putting their influence to work for a cause bigger than music. On November 2, the UNICEF Korea Committee announced that PLAVE has donated 100 million won (approximately $74,600) to support children around the world.

PLAVE UNICEF donation to fund clean water, nutrition and education
The donation will be channeled through UNICEF to provide children facing conflict, disasters and poverty with essentials for survival and development, including clean drinking water, nutrition, healthcare and education. The committee thanked the group for “using their voices to help create a better future” for children everywhere.
The group shared, “We hope every child can discover their own potential and envision their future in a safe environment. We hope this donation, however small, can help children facing difficult circumstances. We will continue to stand alongside children so they can make their voices heard and build a better tomorrow.”
PLAVE to keynote ‘The Children Festa’ on November 20
The donation is part of an ongoing partnership: PLAVE signed a social contribution agreement with the UNICEF Korea Committee last August and has since promoted children’s rights initiatives. The group will also serve as a keynote speaker at ‘The Children Festa’, hosted by the committee on November 20 for World Children’s Day.
Drawing on their identity as artists who bridge the virtual and real worlds, members Yejun, Noah, Bamby, Eunho and Hamin will deliver a message of encouragement under the theme “Children’s Mental Health in the Digital Environment.”
