Shotzi Blackheart’s run with Major League Wrestling has come to an end, with PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reporting that her contract with the promotion expired last week on October 5.

According to the report, sources inside MLW had nothing but positive things to say about their experience working with Blackheart, and the promotion intends to keep collaborating with her going forward — unless circumstances prevent it. It is a warm parting on both sides after a significant chapter in her career.
A Title Reign Worth Remembering
Blackheart leaves MLW with a genuine legacy. During her time with the company, she captured the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Championship and held it for over 200 days, a reign that cemented her as one of the standout names on the women’s roster.
Her mix of high-energy offense, punk-rock attitude and unmistakable tank-riding entrances made her one of the most recognizable faces in the promotion, and a 200-plus day title run speaks to how much faith the company placed in her as a centerpiece of the division.
Already Making Waves in TNA
Blackheart has wasted no time finding the spotlight elsewhere. She appeared at TNA Wrestling’s post-Bound For Glory television tapings in Dothan, Alabama, where she competed in a match — marking her return to a TNA/Impact ring for the first time since 2019.
That earlier stint saw her wrestle two matches under the IMPACT Wrestling banner back in 2019, including a bout against former Knockouts star Madison Rayne. Now, several years on and with an MLW championship reign on her résumé, her comeback to the company arrives with considerably more momentum behind it.
Whether the TNA appearance was a one-off or the start of something longer-term remains to be seen, but the timing — debuting at the tapings just as her MLW deal expires — has naturally set the wrestling world talking about her next move.
What makes the split notable is how cleanly it appears to have happened. In an industry where contract disputes often spill into public view, both sides have kept things professional — MLW praising Blackheart’s contributions and Blackheart already back in action elsewhere. That kind of mutual respect usually keeps the door open for future appearances, whether in MLW, TNA or beyond.
For now, all eyes are on what comes next. A performer with her charisma, in-ring credibility and championship pedigree rarely stays a free agent for long, and her immediate TNA appearance suggests the next chapter of her career is already being written. Wherever she lands full-time, the tank-riding fan favorite looks set to remain one of the most talked-about names in women’s wrestling.
