Great news for mystery-anime fans: TMS Entertainment is bringing the beloved crossover movie Lupin III vs. Detective Conan The Movie to YouTube for a limited free stream starting October 24. The company’s YouTube channel lists the English-dubbed version of the film.

The crossover pits Monkey Punch’s gentleman thief against Gōshō Aoyama’s pint-sized detective in a story where Kid the Phantom Thief pulls off a diamond heist with a real gun and a houseboat getaway. While chasing him, Conan’s skateboard gets sliced in half by Goemon Ishikawa XIII — and that’s when Conan realizes the villain is actually Lupin the 3rd in disguise.
A Franchise Crossover a Decade in the Making
The film first hit Japanese theaters in December 2013, following a 2009 TV special that marked the first meeting of the two icons. Discotek previously brought the movie to home video with an English dub featuring the classic Lupin III voice cast alongside the theatrical Conan cast.
Meanwhile, Netflix is gearing up for the fourth curated selection of Detective Conan episodes, set to arrive on November 1. TMS has been rolling out these handpicked collections since July 2025 — starting with the Black Organization arc — featuring episodes in Japanese and a brand-new English dub by Studio Nano, including some episodes never before available in the U.S.
The Never-Ending Mystery
The Detective Conan manga launched in 1994 and the TV anime has been running since January 1996, following Shinichi Kudo, a detective shrunken into a child by poison, solving crimes as Conan Edogawa alongside Kogoro Mori and Ran. Between the free YouTube crossover stream and the new Netflix collection, the next few weeks are a great time to be a Conan fan.
