Grayson Waller has made a name for himself as WWE’s resident pot-stirrer, and this time even he found a line he couldn’t cross on live television. The NXT Champion revealed on the Not Sam Wrestling podcast that he had a T-shirt made featuring Stephanie Vaquer’s viral title celebration photo — and it never made it to TV.

Shortly after capturing the WWE Women’s World Championship, Vaquer posted an Instagram story posing like Shawn Michaels — wearing nothing but the championship belt. Waller’s plan was to weaponize that image for heat against Myles Bourne, Vaquer’s real-life boyfriend.
The Shirt That Never Made It To TV
“There are some that haven’t ended up on TV,” Waller admitted to Sam Roberts when asked about shirts that were too wild for broadcast. “Stephanie Vaquer kind of broke the internet recently. She did an Instagram story posing like Shawn Michaels. There was a t-shirt with that on it. That didn’t end up on television.”
Waller didn’t seem too disappointed about the shirt being shelved — in fact, he sees dollar signs. “If anyone wants it, bribe me with some money. There is some fan who would pay some crazy money for it. I love to cause chaos,” he said, leaning into his trademark troublemaker persona.
Even Waller Has A Line
For all his chaos, Waller drew a boundary of his own. “If we can’t fight about this, there is the line. Stephanie Vaquer doesn’t feel like I should be doing that, are we going to have a match? That’s not going to happen. That’s where my line is,” he explained.
This isn’t Waller’s first rodeo with inflammatory merchandise. He has previously worn shirts taking shots at Zilla Fatu, Cruz Montana, and others. But the Vaquer shirt, built around a photo that sent wrestling social media into a frenzy, apparently went a step too far for WWE television standards.
Waller’s attention will soon need to shift back to the ring anyway. He is set to defend the NXT Championship against Tony D’Angelo at NXT Halloween Havoc, where the trash talk will have to do the work his T-shirts can’t.
