If your PlayStation 5 backlog has been waiting for a sale, this is the week to clear it. Amazon is selling physical PS5 games at up to 70% off right now, with blockbuster titles like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for just $20 (regularly $50) and Resident Evil Requiem for $50 (regularly $70) leading the markdowns. These are physical discs, not digital downloads — so if you own the disc-drive edition of the PS5, you get the games at a fraction of the PlayStation Store price.

PS5 Games Sale Highlights at Amazon
The headline deal is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth at $20, down from its $50 list price — a 60% cut on one of the biggest PlayStation exclusives of the generation. RPG fans should also look at Kingdom Come: Deliverance II for $30 (regularly $40) and PRAGMATA for $50 (regularly $60), Capcom’s sci-fi action title that has been climbing wish lists since its reveal.
Horror fans are well served too. Resident Evil Requiem is down to $50 from $70, while the older Resident Evil 3 is a steal at $16, down from $30. And if you never played CD Projekt Red’s redemption story, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is $45 instead of $50, bundling the base game with the Phantom Liberty expansion.
Action and open-world picks include Assassin’s Creed Shadows Standard Edition at $30 (regularly $50), Borderlands 4 at $20 (regularly $50), OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 at $30 (regularly $50), and NBA 2K27 at $50 (regularly $70). Smaller discounts round out the sale: Mouse: P.I. For Hire at $25 (regularly $30), The Adventures of Elliot: Millennium Tales at $45 (regularly $60), and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection at $49 (regularly $70).
Why Physical Discs Are Still Worth It
The sale arrives in the same week as PlayStation’s Planet of the Deals digital sale, but the Amazon discounts are for physical copies — which means you can resell or lend them later, something digital purchases don’t allow. Prices on these pages can shift quickly, so if a title on your list is sitting at a historic low, it’s usually worth locking in rather than waiting for a deeper cut that may never come.
