tri-Ace’s cult-classic gun-focused JRPG Resonance of Fate / End of Eternity is back in a brand-new Enhanced Remaster, out now on PlayStation 5 and Steam. The Resonance of Fate Enhanced Remaster brings upgraded visuals and a long-requested quality-of-life feature, giving fans of the 2010 original a fresh reason to return to Basel.

What’s New in the Resonance of Fate Enhanced Remaster
The headline addition is a new 2x Game Speed feature, which lets field exploration, battles, and story events run at double the normal speed. Combined with enhanced graphics, the remaster modernizes the game’s flashy gun-battle combat system, where the mercenary trio of Zephyr, Vashyron, and Leanne battle through the enclosed mechanical world of Basel.
The story takes place in a distant future where humanity has been driven to the edge of extinction on a devastated Earth. To restore the environment, people built a colossal machine called Basel and entrusted it with the cycle of life and death. The three mercenaries take on jobs that gradually unravel the mysteries of their world and their own destinies.
Languages, Editions, and How to Upgrade on Steam
The new version supports Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and Korean. On Steam, players who already own the Resonance of Fate / End of Eternity 4K/HD Edition can upgrade to the Enhanced Remaster by purchasing it as DLC, while new players need to buy both the base game and the DLC.
The original game first launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010 via Sega, and its 4K/HD remaster arrived on PlayStation 4 and Steam in October 2018. Sixteen years on, the tri-Ace RPG still has a devoted following, and this enhanced edition is the most accessible way to play it on modern hardware.
