Reviewer Alex Zalben awards the latest batch a 9/10, calling the episodes “thrillingly emotional, beautifully animated, and stunningly scored” — high praise for a series carrying two decades of franchise weight on its shoulders. The recap digs into how Pavi and Nisha’s twin storylines advance, along with the show’s cataloguing of Avatar artifacts in a broken, post-apocalyptic version of the world.

A review wave and a greenlight

The IGN score arrives alongside an enthusiastic critical wave: Rotten Tomatoes’ critics consensus hails the show’s inspired storytelling, vibrant style, and remarkable characters, while TheWrap handed the opening episodes a 9/10, calling them “engrossing, rich and entertaining” and “a veritable treat for the fans who have been waiting so patiently.”

The buzz has already translated into confidence behind the scenes. Paramount announced during a New York Comic-Con panel that it has greenlit seasons 3 and 4 of Seven Havens — before the first season has even finished airing.

The rollout schedule

The 13-episode first season is dropping in weekly Friday batches on Paramount+: episodes 1–3 premiered on October 9, episodes 4–6 arrive today, episodes 7–9 follow on October 23, and the final four episodes 10–13 land on October 30. Set in a world fractured by a cataclysm tied to the previous Avatar, Korra, the series follows twin sisters Pavi and Nisha across the fortified city-states known as havens.
