Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is just around the corner, and Night City’s newest crew is about to hit screens everywhere at the exact same moment. The official account has unveiled the global release schedule for the sequel series, confirming that all 10 episodes will drop simultaneously worldwide on October 20, 2026 on Netflix.
The premiere times begin at 12:00 a.m. PDT in Los Angeles, and the official release timing map makes it clear that every region gets the full season in one go. The team described it as an “all in one drop” launch, so fans won’t have to wait a week between episodes — you can binge the entire story in a single night if you dare.

A New Standalone Story of Redemption and Revenge
Edgerunners 2 is a brand-new standalone tale set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, pitched as “a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge.” Studio TRIGGER returns to animate, with Netflix streaming exclusively. The director is Kai Ikarashi, who previously helmed the beloved “Girl on Fire” episode of the original series, while Ichigo Kanno handles character designs, Masahiko Otsuka writes the screenplay, and Bartosz Sztybor returns as showrunner, story writer, and producer.
Four leads anchor the new ensemble. Weak Kingsley, once a top-tier edgerunner known as “King,” now lives in the shadow of his former glory. D, a Snake Nation netrunner, is hunting the killer who wiped out his clan. Roman Carax is a young cinephile chasing real stories in a city that traded cinema for neurodance. And Talia Yang, raised in corpo towers but hardened by Maelström, brings chrome-obsessed intensity to the crew.

Expectations are sky-high. The original Edgerunners debuted in September 2022 with 10 episodes and swept awards for Best New Anime and Best Original Anime, even sparking a Rebecca and Pilar prequel manga in December 2024. Edgerunners 2 has already been voted the most anticipated Fall 2026 anime by Anime Corner’s followers.
