There’s finally good news for Dorian Van Dux. During a backstage segment on the October 20 episode of WWE NXT, his tag partner Sean Legacy revealed that doctors expect Van Dux to be cleared to compete in two months.

The update came during a segment on NXT on The CW that brought together Legacy, Romero Moreno, E.K. Prosper, Chazz ‘Starboy’ Hall, Noam Dar, and Saquon Shugars. While the group was talking, Legacy passed along the word from Van Dux’s doctors — the comeback is officially on the horizon.
From Punctured Lung To Ring Return
Van Dux was sidelined after suffering a punctured lung, a serious injury that took him out of action just as he and Legacy were finding their footing as a team. He last wrestled on September 15, and an update on September 27 had previously noted he was cleared — but Legacy’s backstage announcement now puts a firm two-month window on his full in-ring return.
What It Means For NXT’s Tag Scene
With NXT’s tag division heating up around the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, the timing of Van Dux’s return could be significant. Sean Legacy has been holding down the fort solo, and reuniting the duo in early 2027 would add another dangerous team to a crowded field that already includes the Wagner Brothers, Hank and Tank, and the Creed Brothers.
