Firefly Wedding English Dub Cast and October 23 Debut
The announcement confirms that Rowan Gilvie and Kieran Flitton lead the English cast, with additional dub performers set to bring Oreko Tachibana’s dramatic romance to life for English-speaking viewers. The dub debuts on Crunchyroll as a simulcast extension of the ongoing Japanese broadcast.
The anime debuted on October 9 and airs on Fuji TV’s Noitamina programming block on Fridays at 11:30 p.m. Crunchyroll has been streaming the subtitled version as it airs, so the dub’s arrival just a fortnight later gives international fans an unusually fast option.
The Japanese Cast and Staff Behind Firefly Wedding
The original Japanese cast stars Lynn as Satoko Kirigaya and Kōki Uchiyama as Shinpei Gotō, with Kent Itō as Kōtarō Ogawa and Kenjirō Tsuda as Mitsueda. Takahiro Kamei, best known for directing the 2022–2024 Urusei Yatsura reboot, helms the series at david production, the studio behind JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Character designer Yukiko Aikei and series script supervisor Yūko Kakihara round out the creative team, while NOGRID composes the music. The opening theme “Period” is performed by Iri, and TOOBOE performs the ending theme “Yumegokochi” (Trance).
For those unfamiliar, Firefly Wedding follows Satoko Kirigaya, a beautiful nobleman’s daughter who is terminally ill and desperate to secure a marriage that will redeem her worth in her family’s eyes. But her plans collapse when she becomes the target of the mysterious assassin Shinpei Gotō — so she makes a desperate proposal: of marriage. Shinpei, however, takes “until death do we part” very seriously.
Manga Status and Upcoming Live-Action Adaptation
Tachibana launched the manga on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE app in January 2023, and the 13th compiled book volume just released on October 19. Viz Media publishes the manga in English. A live-action television adaptation is also in the works, slated to debut in 2027.
With the English dub launching October 23, Firefly Wedding is shaping up to be one of fall 2026’s standout romantic dramas.
