A huge title match is officially on the books. TNA Wrestling has announced that Amazing Red will defend the X Division Championship against Cedric Alexander on the October 29 episode of Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC — and a Knockouts Television Title bout joins the lineup as well.

Alexander earned his shot the hard way. On the latest episode of iMPACT, he outlasted Fabian Aichner, K.C. Navarro, and Rich Swann in a Fatal 4-Way match to become the number one contender. The victory came with an assist from The System’s Brian Myers and Bear Bronson, whose interference helped Alexander punch his ticket to the title match.
Amazing Red vs. Cedric Alexander: X Division Gold on the Line
The matchup is a fascinating clash of eras and styles. Amazing Red is one of the most influential high-flyers of his generation, a veteran whose name still carries enormous respect in the X Division. Alexander, meanwhile, arrives with serious momentum — and the backing of The System, which could prove decisive on October 29.
Whether Myers and Bronson get involved again remains the big question. If Red can isolate Alexander in a straight fight, his experience and aerial arsenal make him a strong favorite. But The System has a habit of showing up at exactly the wrong moment for Red’s opponents — and now that Alexander is one of theirs, the numbers game tilts his way.
