Andrade El Idolo just cannot stay away from the fans at ringside — but his latest selfie routine ended with him getting jumped. During the October 24 episode of AEW Collision, Andrade stopped for a photo with a woman in the crowd before Tommaso Ciampa came crashing into the moment.
The woman was clearly excited when Andrade approached her at ringside. She pulled out her phone and the two started taking a selfie together, continuing the little routine Andrade has been doing at AEW shows lately. This one did not get the usual happy ending, though: Ciampa interrupted the selfie by attacking Andrade, immediately turning the ringside interaction back into business between the two wrestlers.
Who was the woman who took a selfie with Andrade on AEW Collision?
After Collision, the identity of Andrade’s latest selfie partner was revealed. Independent wrestler Leah Night took to her Instagram Story and confirmed that she was the woman sitting at ringside during the segment.
Night is not simply a random fan who happened to score a selfie on television. She has competed across the independent wrestling scene for promotions including Marvelous, SSPW, ASE, TBD and WE Adrenaline, among others.
That detail fits a clear pattern. Andrade’s ringside interactions have become a recurring part of his AEW act, and the women involved have repeatedly turned out to be independent wrestlers rather than ordinary fans.
Andrade’s ringside selfie streak on AEW
At WrestleDream, Andrade stopped for a selfie with another woman in the crowd and even kissed her on the cheek before continuing with the show. That woman was later revealed to be independent wrestler Madisyn Maxxwell, who has worked for promotions including LPW, WOW, CCW and UFW. Just days before that, Andrade pulled a similar move on Dynamite with independent wrestler Kelly Madan.
The routine goes back further to AEW Grand Slam France, where Andrade approached another woman in the crowd, took a selfie and received a kiss on the cheek. She was later identified as Instagram personality bad.oce, who is known around the French wrestling scene.
With Leah Night now revealed as the latest name in the sequence, Andrade has added yet another indie wrestling name to his growing list of ringside encounters. Ciampa, though, finally found a way to ruin the fun — and the interruption may be the point. What started as a light-hearted crowd routine is now part of an active rivalry, and the next time Andrade reaches for a fan’s phone, the audience will be watching for who crashes the photo.
