The Jennie and V dating rumors have resurfaced yet again. This time, an LA-based restaurant claims BLACKPINK’s Jennie visited its establishment last November with BTS’s V — and the allegation has set social media on fire.

The restaurant posted a photo on Instagram showing Jennie’s autograph on its wall. The original caption claimed she had dined there last November with V and other guests, that some patrons recognized the idols, and that the owner only managed to get Jennie’s signature because V had already left. Fans quickly dubbed it “date confirmed,” reviving the long-running #taennie speculation.
Fans Are Divided — and Skeptical
Many pushed back hard. Skeptics pointed out that V left LA on November 12 and returned November 16, while Jennie didn’t leave until November 21 for BLACKPINK’s tour — casting doubt on the timeline. Others noted the restaurant has a history of name-dropping idols for attention, and that the establishment follows fan “shipper” accounts.
The restaurant eventually edited the caption to mention only Jennie’s visit — but also “liked” a comment suggesting she was there with V, keeping speculation alive.
A Rumor Years in the Making
The Jennie–V speculation began in late 2021 when V briefly followed Jennie’s personal Instagram account, then exploded in May 2022 when leaked photos allegedly showed the two visiting Jeju Island together. Neither idol’s agency has ever confirmed the relationship, and past rumors of a breakup were never officially addressed either.
As always, this remains allegation, not confirmation — no agency statement, no direct evidence. But in K-pop, it only takes one edited caption to light the fandom up all over again.
