Rookie girl group RESCENE‘s agency is speaking out after discovering a serious scam. On October 29, THE MUZE Entertainment issued an official statement warning the public about impersonation fraud being carried out in the company’s name.

According to the agency, they have received multiple reports of an individual pretending to be an employee of THE MUZE Entertainment’s management support team and contacting paper manufacturing companies to make monetary demands.
RESCENE Agency Confirms the Impersonator Is Not an Employee
THE MUZE Entertainment made it clear that the individual in question is not employed by the company and has no relation to it whatsoever. The agency also clarified how its real staff operate: employees only use official @themuze.kr email accounts for work, and under no circumstances do they make monetary demands.
The agency urged anyone who has received a suspicious request to be careful, avoid suffering damages from impersonation, and not to respond to such messages. Instead, recipients are asked to report the incidents to the police or relevant authorities immediately.
Legal Action Underway
THE MUZE Entertainment is not taking the matter lightly. The agency confirmed it is currently in the process of taking legal measures, including pressing charges against the individual behind the fraud.
The warning comes at a time when RESCENE has been riding high. The rookie group recently topped the October star brand reputation rankings and swept the rookie idol rankings, making them one of the most talked-about new acts in K-pop. That growing fame, unfortunately, appears to have made the agency’s name an attractive target for scammers.
Fans have praised the agency for acting quickly and transparently. Companies contacted by anyone claiming to represent THE MUZE Entertainment are advised to verify the sender’s email address and reach out to the agency through official channels before responding.
