CM Punk is coming back to NXT this holiday season. WWE announced that Punk will appear on the NXT Holiday Live Tour in Detroit on November 14 and Chicago on November 15, giving the developmental brand’s live crowd a rare shot at seeing the Best in the World in person.

The announcement marks another trip to the black-and-silver brand for Punk, who wrestled at an NXT live event in Virginia back in August. On that night, he teamed with Myles Borne and Tavion Heights to defeat The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, Jackson Drake and Ricky Smokes).
Punk’s NXT Appearances Keep Growing
Punk has made frequent visits to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando since returning to the company, first to rehab from injury and more recently to help guide the next generation of talent. Grayson Waller, who once called Punk out for showing up to NXT without asking his permission, has since admitted that Punk has been genuinely helpful at the PC.
The NXT Holiday Live Tour stops in Detroit and Chicago join a busy stretch for Punk. He is also set to face Kevin Owens on the November 7 episode of WWE SmackDown, so the holiday tour dates are sandwiched right into one of his most active runs of the year.
Tickets for Detroit and Chicago On Sale Now
WWE pushed the dates with a “JUST ANNOUNCED” blast across its social channels, and the Chicago date in particular is expected to be a hot ticket given Punk’s long history with the city. Detroit fans, meanwhile, get the rare treat of Punk working the same building twice over the weekend with the back-to-back tour stops.
Whether the holiday tour appearances build to anything on NXT television remains to be seen, but for live-event fans in the Midwest, November just got a lot more interesting.
