Lee Sang Yi is making a surprise cameo in KBS 2TV’s “A Love Other Than Yours” — reuniting with his former college classmate Ahn Eun Jin on screen. The drama’s production team announced on October 31 that Lee Sang Yi will appear in Episode 13, airing today at 9:20 p.m. KST.
The special appearance came about through real-life friendship: Lee Sang Yi and Ahn Eun Jin were in the same class at the Korea National University of Arts, and the actor agreed to drop by the set for his old classmate. A behind-the-scenes photo shows the two former classmates posing playfully together, giving fans a glimpse of their close bond.
Lee Sang Yi’s Role in A Love Other Than Yours Episode 13 Remains Under Wraps
Newly released stills show Ahn Eun Jin’s character Lee Mi Do sitting across from Lee Sang Yi, listening to him speak calmly. The contrast between their expressions has fans guessing what they might be discussing — and exactly what kind of role Lee Sang Yi will play in the story. Details of his character have not been revealed yet, keeping the anticipation high for tonight’s broadcast.
Cameos by big names are nothing new in K-dramas, but ones rooted in real friendship tend to be the most fun to watch. Lee Sang Yi has built a reputation for memorable supporting roles in hits like “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” and “My Demon,” while Ahn Eun Jin has become one of the most beloved leading ladies of her generation with “My Dearest.” Seeing the two former classmates share a scene is already generating buzz among fans who know their history.
Will Lee Sang Yi’s appearance be a brief comedic drop-in or a plot-turning moment for Lee Mi Do? Viewers will find out when Episode 13 airs tonight. Tune in to “A Love Other Than Yours” on October 31 at 9:20 p.m. KST to catch the reunion as it happens.
