Darby Allin just added another insane chapter to his daredevil resume, completing the 2026 New York City Marathon on Sunday with a finish time of 5 hours, 34 minutes, and 34 seconds. The AEW star covered all 26.219 miles through the city’s five boroughs at a pace of 12 minutes and 46 seconds per mile.

Darby Allin Marathon Run Comes Days After CMLL Debut

Allin’s marathon run is the latest in a wild streak of physical feats. Last year, he climbed Mount Everest, and his busy week shows no signs of slowing down. On Friday night, he made his CMLL debut, facing off against Hechicero in a singles match that had lucha libre fans buzzing.

The New York City Marathon is one of the largest races in the world, with over 60,000 runners taking part this year. Sweden’s Andreas Almgren won the event with a time of two hours and six minutes, while Allin’s 5:34:34 put him well ahead of countless casual runners who take on the legendary course each November.

Darby Allin Returns to AEW for Blood & Guts

There is no rest for the former TNT Champion. On Wednesday, Allin steps back into the ring for AEW’s Blood & Guts, where he will team with Steven Borden, the Young Bucks, and Will Ospreay to take on the Don Callis Family in the promotion’s brutal double-cage war match.

For a wrestler known for throwing his body off ladders and into barbed wire, running 26.2 miles through New York might actually be the tamest thing he has done all year. Still, finishing a marathon at that clip just days before one of AEW’s most physically punishing matches of the year is pure Darby Allin: equal parts recklessness and heart.
