Korean rapper Sleepy opened up about the difficult fertility journey he and his wife went through before becoming parents — revealing a miscarriage, an infertility diagnosis and over 100 injections during their in vitro fertilization (IVF) process.

On the October 31st broadcast of KBS2’s Mr. House Husband 2, a day of co-parenting with the couple Park Hyun Ho and Eun Ga Eun was shown. During the show, Sleepy shared the joy of raising two children, telling the couple — who were considering a second child — “Kids are so beautiful. I wonder why I ever worried about having a second.”
Sleepy IVF Journey: From Miscarriage to Two Kids
As a father of children born a year apart, Sleepy revealed why the couple had their second child after just one year. He confessed, “My wife naturally got pregnant but suffered a miscarriage. We went to the hospital for tests and were diagnosed with infertility.” At the time, his wife was in her early 30s, but her ovarian age was in her mid-40s.
After the infertility diagnosis, the couple conceived their first child through IVF. Despite his wife receiving over 100 injections, they never gave up and were finally blessed with their first daughter. “The second child was also conceived through IVF on the first try,” Sleepy added.
Why Sleepy and His Wife Tried for a Second Child So Quickly
Sleepy explained they tried for their second child just three months after the first because the doctor warned, “If you don’t try now, having a second child will be difficult.” They immediately went for it — and soon welcomed their second child, a son.
Sleepy married a non-celebrity who is eight years his junior in 2022. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in March 2024, and last April, they embraced their second child, a son. He also joked on the show that his wife recently keeps changing her mind about wanting a third: “Two kids is enough — but that changes every day.”
