What Is The Housemaid Stage Adaptation About?
The stage version will draw on both the hit novel by Freida McFadden and Paul Feig’s 2025 feature film adaptation. The story follows Millie Calloway, a troubled young woman who takes a job working for a wealthy New York couple — and quickly finds herself tangled in a web of deception inside their home.
Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney’s Housemaid Roles
In Feig’s film, Sydney Sweeney starred as Millie Calloway, while Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar played the Winchesters, Nina and Andrew. McFadden’s novel became a massive bestseller before the film adaptation put it on the big screen, making The Housemaid one of the most in-demand properties to make the jump from page to stage.
The Richmond premiere extends the franchise’s run: from a bestselling book to a Hollywood film, and now a full London stage production that will let audiences experience Millie’s story live.
