Details on Veil Lift are still light for now. The franchise says more information will be announced on December 7, so fans will not have to wait long for a clearer picture of the new series, its cast and its place in the wider Vanguard story.
Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift and the Franchise’s 15th Anniversary
The timing is no coincidence. The franchise had already teased that a completely new television anime would air in 2027 to mark its 15th anniversary, and Veil Lift now looks set to be a major part of that celebration. For a card-game franchise that has kept reinventing its anime side, a fresh series is a chance to bring in new players as well as reward long-time viewers.
Meanwhile, the current saga is still rolling toward its finale. The three-episode Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Unmei Seisen-hen, described as the final arc of the DivineZ saga, premieres on TV Aichi and six TV Tokyo stations on November 7 at 8:00 a.m. JST. It will also stream in Japan on services including ABEMA, d Anime Store, DMM TV, Hulu, Prime Video, U-NEXT and Nico Nico from November 7.
Ghost Meets Gal Mini Anime Season 2 Announced
The Ghost Meets Gal mini anime, based on Kaeru DX’s manga, debuted on September 5 at 8:00 a.m. JST, with AtoriE producing. Its second season now gives the short-form series room to grow, after a first run that introduced Rubuna, voiced by Karin Kagami, and Santi, voiced by Yuka Nishio.
BanG Dream!’s Mugendai Mewtype performs the mini anime’s theme song, Nikoichi Mirai. With Veil Lift details coming in December and the DivineZ final arc arriving in November, Vanguard fans have a busy few months ahead, with both a farewell to one saga and the start of something new.
