A Feisty Romance With a Home Tutor Twist
The original manga centers on Sui, a girl in her third year of junior high who can’t stand her older sister’s boyfriend, Midori-kun — he treats her like a kid and constantly teases her. But when Midori-kun is suddenly asked to become Sui’s home tutor, she starts seeing an unexpected side of him.
timelesz member Masaki Hashimoto stars as Midori Yukishiro, with actress Runa Nakajima as Sui Sanae. Rinka Kumada plays Sui’s older sister (and Midori’s girlfriend) Momo Sanae, while Reo Matsumoto portrays Sui’s childhood friend Ayame Mizukawa. Taisuke Niihara rounds out the cast as Amamiya, a new assistant producer at the TV station where Momo works.
The Team Behind the Film
Mahito Kimura (Strobe Edge, Blue Spring Ride series) is directing, with Nami Kikkawa (Honey Lemon Soda film) writing the script. Shochiku is both producing and distributing the film, carrying the English title My Sister’s Boyfriend.
Meguro launched the manga in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine in 2022, and its 11th compiled volume was published on April 23.
