Bagudan Manga Ending Announced
The December issue of Monthly Dessert announced the ending on Friday. Titled Bagudan: Sono Otoko-tachi Toriatsukai Chūi ni Tsuki (Bagudan: Handle These Men with Care), the manga launched just this year on March 24, with its first compiled volume shipping on July 13.
The reverse harem comedy follows Tokiko, a high schooler who loves otome games. When five handsome guys from a game she’s playing are reincarnated as her classmates, she’s thrilled — until their heart-throbbing in-game gestures start making her real classmates cringe.
What Momose Is Working On Next
Momose stays busy beyond Bagudan. Alongside artist Shiwasu Hoshikawa, he launched a new manga titled Gyakusatsu Kigen (Genocide Origin) in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine on May 25.
He also launched the Datewars project in August 2025 — a “timeless music IP project” reviving musical styles from the 70s to the 2000s with 14 voice actresses, planned to expand into manga, anime, mobile games, concerts, films and stage events.
As the main scenario writer for the rap-themed Hypnosis Mic project, Momose has shaped one of Japan’s most successful voice-actor multimedia franchises since its September 2017 launch.
