AEW president Tony Khan is excited about the company’s future under its new corporate umbrella, and he is not keeping that excitement to himself. Speaking on Twitter, Khan revealed he recently met with the Skydance team in Los Angeles, and he confirmed that Warner Bros. executives will be in attendance at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
The comments come at a pivotal moment for AEW, as the wrestling company settles into life under the newly formed Skydance following Paramount’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery at the beginning of October.

Tony Khan Meets With Skydance Team in Los Angeles
“I just got back from Los Angeles, I had a great visit out there with the Skydance team,” Khan said, adding that he looks forward to the future of AEW under the Skydance banner.
The meeting is significant because AEW is part of the Warner Bros. Discovery family, with its programming airing on HBO Max, TNT and TBS. The Paramount deal that created Skydance brought those networks and platforms under one roof, making the relationship between AEW and its new parent company one of the most important storylines in the wrestling business right now.
Khan has been consistently upbeat about the change, and his latest comments suggest the early conversations with Skydance leadership, including head David Ellison, have gone well. For AEW fans, that is welcome news, as television and streaming partnerships remain the lifeblood of any major wrestling promotion.
Warner Bros. Executives to Attend October 28 AEW Dynamite
The timing of the executives’ visit is no coincidence. AEW will hold its annual Fright Night event on Wednesday in St. Louis, and Khan confirmed the Warner Bros. executives will be in attendance.
“We’re going to be joined by the Warner Bros. executives,” Khan said, framing the visit as another sign of the close relationship between AEW and its broadcast partners.
Having network executives in the building for a themed event like Fright Night is a strong show of support, and it gives AEW a chance to impress its new corporate partners with a big, Halloween-season crowd in St. Louis. Fright Night has become a staple of AEW’s October calendar, and this year’s edition carries extra weight with the Skydance era now underway.
With Khan publicly optimistic, a meeting with Skydance leadership already in the books, and Warner Bros. executives set to attend Dynamite, AEW enters the final stretch of 2026 with its corporate future looking stable, and its television relationships firmly in focus.
