Zilla Fatu vs. Charlie Dempsey is officially set for NXT Halloween Havoc on October 31, and it will come with a twist. The match will be a Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal bout, with the wheel set to be spun at the Premium Live Event itself to determine the match type.
The rivalry took a violent turn on the October 27 episode of NXT, when Fatu’s attempt to spin the wheel early ended in a brutal ambush by Dempsey’s BirthRight faction.

Zilla Fatu vs. Charlie Dempsey at NXT Halloween Havoc
Fatu had asked to spin the NXT Halloween Havoc wheel to determine the stipulation for his bout against Dempsey, but things did not go to plan on Tuesday night. After appearing on the show to spin the wheel, Fatu was distracted by Arianna Grace and then ambushed by her factionmates in BirthRight: Dempsey, Uriah Connors, Lexis King and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo.
The attack was brutal. Dempsey smashed Fatu’s already injured hand with a shovel, sending a clear message ahead of their Halloween Havoc clash. Despite the assault, the match is still scheduled for October 31, and the wheel will now be spun at the Premium Live Event to decide what kind of match the two men will fight.
That leaves the stipulation as one of the night’s big unknowns. Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal matches have produced everything from street fights to steel cage bouts over the years, and whatever the wheel lands on will shape how this already personal rivalry plays out.
NXT Halloween Havoc Card Takes Shape
The Fatu vs. Dempsey grudge match joins a growing Halloween Havoc card. The NXT Women’s Championship will be on the line as Kelani Jordan defends against Wren Sinclair, while the NXT Championship headlines the show with Grayson Waller defending against Tony D’Angelo.
With the BirthRight faction now fully involved, Fatu will have to contend not just with Dempsey but with the numbers game around the ring, as Lexis King, Arianna Grace, Uriah Connors and Stacks Lorenzo are all listed in Dempsey’s corner. Whether Fatu can overcome those odds, and what stipulation the wheel hands them, will be two of the biggest questions heading into October 31.
